Our Vision

The vision and heartbeat of Zion Christian Church is to help people, from all walks of life, experience the transforming power that is available through the grace and love of our God. This transformation is not found in a wonderful program, or in our own ability to remake ourselves through discipline and hard work. It is only found in the person of Jesus Christ, who paid the price with His own life to purchase this new life for anyone that will simply come. Jesus said in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” Here Jesus establishes Himself as the only door through which we gain access to our Heavenly Father.

The question becomes, how do we practically apply this message of new life in the real world, and why would we want to? Jesus tells us that He is the way to life, not just any life, but life more abundantly! At Zion, we believe that the access to this abundant life comes through the Word of God, practically applied to real life situations, and through true worship that flows from a heart that has been redeemed. We strive to be “founded on God’s Word and flowing in His Spirit.”

The Word
We believe that the Bible is God’s handbook to mankind that enables us to navigate all of life’s challenges. Psalms 119:105 teaches us that the Word of God is the central focus of our life, and that all we do must be founded solidly on it.

We believe that the Spirit of God takes an active role in applying His Word to our lives in very real and practical ways. The result is a life transformed by His Spirit into His likeness.

Worship
We believe that worship is a way of life for those who have truly submitted themselves to Jesus Christ, and have realized that God loves them and will forgive them of all their sins. When the good news of His love truly takes root in the heart of any human being, worship is a natural product of this life changing encounter.

We want to provide an atmosphere that allows everyone to be firmly established in Christ and grow toward their God-given destiny. Come and find your place, and together we can see His Kingdom come and His will being done, on earth as it is in heaven.
